My favorite holiday is Chinese New Year.That's because all the members in my family will gather together for a big reunion.We always enjoy a big meal on the new year’s Eve.We talk a lot of things,such as:NBA and video games with each other,too. During the holidays,we often visit some relatives and good friends who we have not seen for a long time.Sometimes I take advantage of the continuous holidays to take a trip overseas with my family,and I always have a good time and a pleasant memory of experiencing the culture and appreciating many beautiful sceneries with my family.If I were at home,I could even sleep the whole day and take a complete rest during the holidays.
Those are the reasons that I like Chinese New Year the most.
My favorite holiday is Dragon Boat Festival. Because I have a vacation this day, so I can see the Dragon Boat race , it is funny and excited . Although I like to see the competition, I hope I can row the Dragon Boat by myself . This day everyone make the sachet to avoid the mosquitos and evils. I remember when I was in elementary school, I always happy when I make the sachets with my friends , because it is cute and small fragrant. The most important reason I like Dragon Boat Festival is the steamed rice dumpling. My grandma always make steamed rice dumplings by herself on this day. They are delicious and I often eat a lot. I hope my grandma can teach me how to make the steamed rice dumplings, thus I can eat when I want.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite holiday is Chinese New Year. Chinese New Year is a Chinese festival. It is usually in January or February in the lunar calendar.What do people do on New Year Day? People like cleaning the flat before Chinese New Year. And then, they hang up some red papers with some blessing words. On the other hands, my mother and grandmother are busy all day because they are busy to make some delicious food such as rice cakes, dumplings ect.
ReplyDeleteI like this festival because I can wear some new clothes and get red packets from my relatives. When we see others, we say Kung Hey Fai Choy. It means you bless others to be rich and have a good start in this year. Moreover, I save it in the bank for studying in the future. Now I am looking forward to celebrate this festival.
My favorite festival is Children’s Day, because we can play in the holiday. R.O.C government considered that students go to school daily and study hard, so it set up Children’s Day as a holiday. In the festival, we can find many students watching movies, singing KTV, and going shopping for relaxing. Our children’s Day is on April fourth and the next day, April fifth is also a holiday. The holidays are good for taking a rest!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite holiday is Christmas. I love Christmas because we are on a break from school, and I get to spend a lot of time with my family. I love the atmosphere of Christmas, the cold weather, the hot drinks, and the good food. I love to pick out a Christmas tree, put the lights on it, and decorate it with ornaments. My family and I always decorate our Christmas tree together and listen to Christmas music. On Christmas morning, we open presents with our whole family. I love Christmas time and look forward to it every year as it is a very joyful time of the year.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite holiday is Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is a day where we come together as family and celebrate the things that we are thankful for. It's always a time of the year that I look forward to because of the time I get to spend with my family and with friends. We eat lots of good food and watch football. My favorite part is cooking all of the food. I usually get up early with my mother or grandmother to get things ready. I love to cook and sneak a taste of things before the entire meal is ready. I do not really care much for turkey, so in my family we usually cook both a turkey and a small ham. My favorite parts of the meal are the green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, and yeast rolls. Desert is always delicious too :) The rest of the day is spent resting.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite holiday is Christmas. During the Christmas holidays I am off from school, and I am able to relax and spend time with my family. Going home gives me an opportunity to catch up with family and old friends. This is also a time when my family travels and takes vacation. We usually go to the mountains and go skiing. Another reason I like Christmas is because it is a time to give and receive gifts. Christmas morning is my favorite morning of the year!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite holiday is Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday because it's one of the few days throughout the year where my whole family can get together and visit. Thanksgiving also brings other things like food and football. Some of my favorite food to have on Thanksgiving is ham, dressing, and sweet potato casserole. After everybody is done eating we all get together and watch football!!
